Data feeds

Our financial database – one of the  largest in the world, with more than two million financial instruments – covers almost the entire German and European spectrum. We provide integrated financial data via our web site, as well as in the form of standardised and customised data feeds.

In addition, we offer a unique depth of detail and are thus able to ensure maximum transparency.

WKN – ISIN – CFI – FISN

We are also responsible for the allocation of German securities identification numbers (WKNs), International Security Identification Numbers (ISINs) for German issuers, CFI (Classification of Financial Instruments – ISO 10962), and the FISN (Financial Instrument Short Name – ISO 18774).

Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)

In addition, WM Datenservice is officially accredited by the GLEIF as international registry for the Legal Identity Identifier (LEI). This internationally standardized and globally valid identifier for financial market participants serves to clearly identify business partners and to be able to meet certain reporting obligations towards the supervisory bodies.

International standardization of securities data

In order to enable global straight through processing (STP) between participating financial institutions despite the increasing complexity and internationalization of the securities business, uniform standards are required for the structuring and technical formatting of a wide variety of international financial instruments.

DIN – ISO – ANNA

Given our experience and know-how, we are working to facilitate this process; we are involved with various national and international bodies such as DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), ANNA (Association of National Numbering Agencies) and ISSA (International Securities Services Association), contributing to the harmonization of the international financial markets.
